Hester M. Peirce was appointed by President Donald J. Trump to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and was sworn in on January 11, 2018.

Prior to joining the SEC, Commissioner Peirce conducted research on the regulation of financial markets at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. She was a Senior Counsel on the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, where she advised Ranking Member Richard Shelby and other members of the Committee on securities issues. Commissioner Peirce served as counsel to SEC Commissioner Paul S. Atkins. She also worked as a Staff Attorney in the SEC’s Division of Investment Management. Commissioner Peirce was an associate at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering (now WilmerHale) and clerked for Judge Roger Andewelt on the Court of Federal Claims.

Commissioner Peirce earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Case Western Reserve University and her JD from Yale Law School.

Flori is the Co-Founder and SVP of Operations of BlockFi, the market leading crypto-financial services company she founded in 2017 with Zac Prince. Today, BlockFi has $6B+ in AUM, 150K+ users worldwide and 400+ employees across 6 main global offices. At BlockFi, Flori manages Operations, Client Service and HR. Flori has spent her career managing alternative lending products, where she helped build, scale and optimize a $125M portfolio for Bond Street (acquired by Goldman Sachs). Prior to Bond Street, Flori helped develop and maintain institutional partnerships at Oak Hill Advisors, a $30B fixed income asset manager.

Zac Prince

Zac’s experience includes leadership roles at multiple successful tech companies. Initially in adtech, where he was a part of two successful acquisitions, Admeld (Acquired by Google) and Sociomantic (acquired by DunnHumby). Prior to starting BlockFi, he led business development teams at Orchard Platform, a broker dealer and RIA in the online lending sector, and Zibby, an online consumer lender. He graduated Cum Laude from Texas State University with a BA in International Business and a minor in Spanish.

Sebastian Moonjava

Real Vision, Crypto Editor

Sebastian Moonjava is Associate Crypto Editor at Real Vision, where he covers crypto, decentralized finance, and token economics, with an emphasis on newer and more experimental projects in the digital asset space. Prior to joining Real Vision, he worked as a Community Manager for the crypto start up project Status.im. Sebastian has been actively involved in the crypto community since 2013, and full time in the space since 2016. His writings on crypto have been published by Hackernoon, Quartz and Keeping stock. Before joining the crypto space full time, he worked on several startups companies and held the title of Vice President of Investor Relations for Global Senior Housing.
