Sallie Krawcheck: From Leading Wall Street to Building Ellevest

Wall Street veteran Sallie Krawcheck started her career as a research analyst covering securities for Sanford Bernstein and then went on to become the CFO of Citigroup, the CEO of Citi Wealth Management, and president of the global wealth and investment management division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Now, as the CEO and co-founder of Ellevest, she is on a mission to help women reach their financial goals. Launched back in 2016, Ellevest started off as a digital investing platform designed to meet women’s unique financial needs and has since expanded their services with $1.2 billion of assets under management. She shares her insights on Ellevest’s investment methodology and how it stands apart from other financial services. Krawcheck also discusses how the current macro environment, the COVID-19 recovery, the retail renaissance, and the rise of ESG and alternative investment vehicles are shaping the way Ellevest supports their clientele in meeting their financial goals. Interviewed by Real Vision’s Haley Draznin. Filmed on July 7, 2021.
