JDFM (ETF) in downtrend v EEM for now.

JDIn UK / EU Alquity have retail funds. Found interviewee to be salesy and seemed as if he was seeking close after close. But thumbs up.

spThe answers were somewhat underwhelming. Grant did a good job all things considered. Bangladesh market on the other hand trades at 35x PE with middling growth.

spAs somebody who is actively involved in Vietnam, It has already moved on from what has been described here. I suggest visit Vietnam right now, you will come back with a very different perspective. Also Cambodia and Mongolia are very exciting for very different reasons right now.

GOHis passion is infectious.i have been to many Fronteer countries and totally agree with him
-
ECMust agree with you there Philip D. Find the topic extremely interesting and am most certainly in that pro 50% camp, but too little firm info on taking action as a self directed investor.
-
PDThe challenge which I have with such videos is that there is very little information provided on the operational front. Any question on the same typically goes unanswered.Secondly, "you need money to make money". How many RV subscribers have a $100k min spare to invest in frontier countries from a generational stand point. As enlightening; the video is...it's also equally frustrating.

CFWasatch has a retail mutual fund that invests in emerging markets for those who have asked about this. WAFMX.

RPHaving read Larry's incredible and engaging fund updates for years, I have always wanted him to do an interview and more on Real Vision.
-
GALove the interview, simple and straight forward like Jim Rodgers.
-
OBHe never answered the question as to how an individual investor can have access to a frontier markets investment vehicle. Very light.
-
SLGrant asked great questions but got more of a travel agent response than investment. If Larry would have pointed out one or two mutual funds that are doing a good job that would have been helpful. Traveling to personally check out investment opportunities isn't an option for me.

JHThere are a lot of reasons for me to wish that I were younger, but this opportunity is right up near the top. Unfortunately, at 65, I find myself feeling somewhat timid. I would like to hear more on this. After all, I could get lucky in the markets and end up with enough disposable cash to feel comfortable jumping in. Thanks!

MSI thought Iran WAS the place to be looking right now? : \

JOGreat perspective on the distorted portrayal of many parts of the world by media outlets, and the resulting gut-level aversion from investors... but it sadly never progressed past a heuristic level. A deeper dive into example countries and companies would have been great, as would a more detailed discussion of the justified risks (liquidity, political, etc) involved with the frontier.
-
TSReally enjoyable, a tremendous amount of wisdom shared. Nice introduction into how to research industries in the Frontier and how to consider investing in general.
-
RMGood piece on Frontier Markets but somehow a bit light (superficial). The message that should have been communicated is that in Frontier Markets you get paid to take illiquidity risk. It always beats me why anybody would buy a CoCo Perpetual Bond when countries like Mongolia pay you +7% on simple fixed deposit and you get repaid in 1 year.....
