Real Vision’s Max Wiethe joins George Goncalves (Twitter: @bondstrategist) to discuss the FOMC meeting occurring on September 16th at 2PM EDT. As this meeting follows a significant paradigm shift in the Fed’s move toward average inflation targeting, Goncalves and Wiethe will examine the statements the Fed will make, analyze and break down intraday price action that could point to how markets are reacting to the Fed, and answer questions from members concerning the press conference.

Enjoyed listening to Frances Hunt. Respect his disciplined trading approach, tech analysis and overall risk/reward perspective related to the new normal asset allocation to protect and enhance wealth, versus the "Old Wall" 60/40 approach. I agree with him, the world has changed, the macro backdrop has changed, we are at a fulcrum turning point in the market and if we don't change our investment methodology we will bear the forthcoming pain of deflation, followed by stagflation. An environment most investors and asset managers under 60 years old have never experienced. There are very few traditional asset managers or strategists that are not paid by the Man (bank sell side or traditional bulge bracket passive asset managers) who are non-conflicted and can be transparent. I also respect Frances' view to invest long in Bitcoin, Ether, Gold and SLV with core. Dont trade, just hold through next few years. If you want to trade around it, earn that right and remain vigilant and cautious using a disciplined process.

While it is impossible to know the future, i agree, Frances Hunt offered a pretty compelling view of the future. I for one will be following his strategy.

Good discussion, especially on Fed day. How many times does the Fed have to say that that the problems of the pandemic are much larger than a liquidity problem? The Fed oversees liquidity problems. The Fed, therefore, cannot solve the other problems generated by the pandemic or the end of the debt super cycle. DLS
