AFI would find interesting to see what he thinks of Tesla coming into a market with the characteristics he is envisaging ! Is this another reason to be bearish on the stock ?
-
GMA lot of good info. Only thing I took issue with was the cash for clunkers. The program was a clunker. The subsidy pulled demand forward and hurt affordability for poor people. New cars suck - I am keeping my E46 until it dies.
-
MNClassy way to end the interview.
-
KKI would have liked to see my charts/graphs to back up what he is saying.
-
MGValuable insights .... but could be delivered more succinctly
-
RPGreat piece....but did you know Geico can save you 15% or more on your car insurance?
-
TCVery insightful article

MLExcellent! We need more of these industry expert interviews. This and the restaurants presentation a while back are super helpful

SPHelped me to understand why the car rental stocks haven't boomed as I expected as people like me have switched to Public Transport plus Taxi apps. I learnt a lot about the auto industry from this video. It's similar to the aerospace industry in some respects because so much is leased now

FHBout to go lease me a truck

LAThank u Daniel for your analyses! I was shorting auto lenders & auto parts last year & people long the stock was telling me that I need to get schooled. My thesis for auto parts was that people were buying basic parts for Amazon etc. It was a painful short but now I am being redeemed big time.

SSSo if I go to a dealership, how do I negotiate for either new or used car, by bring this insight to the table? What are the magic words a dealership fears so they do a deal not missing out of a sale? Is it prudent to be a buyer at an auto auction or attempt to catch a deal before the dealer or the banks let go? Well done, smooth easy to understand presentation. SOLD.

MFGreat presentation. Reminds me of Paul Westra about Restaurants some days back here on RV. Things are turning sour. Cheers
-
GGExcellent viewing! Guess I will hold off on buying that new car until next year! HTZ and CAR could be zeroes for sure with plunging resale values.
-
SCHe spoke with clarity which made his idea easy to understand. Maybe I don't have the requisite brain power to understand some of the interviews on RV lol.
-
AMWonderful and timely. RV crushes it again.

VKReally good video - I strongly recommend Daniel's blog on his website. The videos and charts walk you through this stuff really well. I have about 8 pages worth of notes just from his different blogs. Really appreciate him sharing this kind of knowledge - it would usually take a lot of experience of the autos industry to pick up
