MSand can we please add an "edit" feature to these comments? and add some code that respects the formatting we give our text? I format it to be read easily and this software just bunches it all up into one large, unreadable block. thanks.

MSI think RV/Raoul need to intervene at this pont in The Chain - 16 minutes is unacceptable. The rules should be: 1. Interviewee chooses next guest and becomes interviewer - as is, good. 2. Interviews must last between 45-60 minutes. 3. There should be a similar structure - first 15 minutes talks about life before current position and early days, next 15 talks about whatever, next 15 whatever, last 15 perhaps talk about views on the future, current situation going forward etc etc. 4. Interviewer should write his questions and give them to Raoul to go over; make sure they will create enough content, move interview forwards in a compelling way.... The most important part of The Chain is the guest being allowed to chose the perspn he interviews next - this should never be interfered with, it's the crux of the show. The rest could do with polishing and professionalism. It's unfair to expect a guy who spends all day looking at numbers and ratios to suddenly become a professional chat show host.

TSCan we invite Mick McGuire back? Seems like a smart and interesting guy. Thanks

EKThe RV interviews are of such a high level that when an average interview comes up it is judged very harshly. We need a grading curve. Still would rather watch a 'poor' video on RV than CNBC.

BHI initially struggled to see why everyone was so -ve but reading comments makes it clear there is quite a bit of misunderstanding ard activiist investing. Again a v useful template for idea generation

AEThe rising window washer deck behind Mr. Briger was more entertaining...was more applicable to would-be hedge fund managers than to most of us retail investors!
-
SKPart of the charm of RV is the unpolished nature of the Chain interviewers. For me, the content is far more valuable than the style, so no need to recruit pro interviewers.

MAI liked this - just wish it was longer than 16 mins and it would have been interesting to hear about some current ideas/opportunities.

JD2 Very Boring Guys...Weakest link to date...

SMDefitively the weakest link to date ;-)

LCI enjoyed the different focus of the interview and I learned quite a bit. Thank you!
-
CMSid, I agree...but about which one do you speak? How about a modified chain: the person being interviewed selects the next person, but we have someone will skill do the interviewing?
-
RECan you interview Dr. Lacy Hunt.

KSActivist investor is s euphemism for a sleaze bag corporate raider; short term gains that destroy long term profits. They exemplify what is exactly wrong with our economy. Could care less.

AGgood video for a kid like me in terms of idea sourcing and management

DKThink the next chain will be great. Would have liked this interview to be more in depth devoting more time to the investment process, analyses and views on the market etc.
-
GGBeing an interviewee is easy but to be an interviewer takes skill and preparation. Like the chain idea but would be useful if pros like Grant and Raoul did the interviews

BCLiked this!

CCLove the team based idea of formal goal setting, modest salaries, and participation in the profits. Allows for alignment of interests and periodic review of progress, with room for merit based growth
