Peter McCormack, host of the “What Bitcoin Did” podcast, has spent the last year chatting with some of the smartest minds in crypto. He joins Ash Bennington, senior editor at Real Vision, to share what he has learned. McCormack doesn’t claim to be a technologist or expert economist, but it didn’t take him long to read the writing on the wall as a result of the Fed’s policies. Governments around the world with monopolistic power over their currencies have a history of abusing this power, often to the detriment of hard-working savers. McCormack believes in the separation of money and State, given that money is a vital utility that is dangerous for one single institution to control. “Bitcoin is trying to do one thing well: be the best form of money,” says McCormack. He believes the larger crypto community needs to take this mission more seriously, and that pump-and-dump coins only detract from Bitcoin serving its purpose. Tune in to see if you agree.
