Blank check companies, also known as special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs), are equities traded on the NASDAQ or New York Stock Exchange. David Sherman, founder and portfolio manager of CrossingBridge Advisors, says that although it sounds crazy, “SPACs are one of the most interesting asset classes if you manage them in a fixed income-like strategy.” In this episode of The Interview, Sherman provides an in-depth overview of SPACs' yield, life cycle, and his new ETF that specifically focuses on and purchases SPACs at a low trust value either in the IPO or in the secondary market.
