    Well done articulating your perspective David. Great takeaways about the life of a contrarian investor, the importance of hiring a professional to support your long term investment objectives and if you are able to take the long term perspective and don't use leverage.

    Fascinating. Ultimately health care / pensions cant be sustained. Does that mean higher taxes & broken promises? Probably. But my bet is currency deval is big part of answer - a health care actuary

    It would be nice to update the contrarian conversation after the last two weeks of events: SNB move, QE in Europe, Greece election, and the continued move in the US dollar index and oil.

    Ali, I think they started out that way out of necessity but soon realised that they were all in the same boat so opted to present a united front. That is now a thing of the past for sure. Dangerous

    Grant - I don't think central banks were ever purposefully "coordinated", they coincidentally all cut rates at the same time for self-serving purposes
