GDAwesome. Would love to sit down with Stephen over a beer.
-
SPThe key thing I learned here was to not assume that financial experts have all the information. The case is He mentioned around infrastructure in South Africa and safety in Fukushima. Great interview!
-
DXvery smart guy he just talked straight for 50 minutes incredible
-
jscool
-
AEP.S. Can't see Milton on a bicycle....:)
-
AEKresso is right. Our Sun is growing quieter every year. Little Ice Age approaching now, so will solar be a good investment when there is little solar strength? Also, would many people tolerate a forest of wind turbines obscuring their views of the oceans, seas and lakes as recommended by this gentleman?
-
AHStephen is a fascinating fellow... enjoyed the multiple threads and story telling. Introduce this guy to Jim Rogers.
-
JLIf you desire specific easy advice then you will enjoy the platitudes of the self-help book genre ie "10 steps to getting rich...". This is was a great piece which serves as the impetuous for thought on trends and investing.
-
ADPlease, Stephen, introduce me to the Russians that would be happy with an investment that costs them half their money- I have a great opportunity for them!
-
JKClearly a smart guy, but am I alone in thinking he is borderline paranoid to a fault? I also fail to see what the investment implications are from this interview
-
JBHe should take his own advice. If you should always bet against the government (e.g. buy gold when central banks sell) then you should also bet against the government-sponsored hysteria on global warming. I am confused as to why such a bright guy has bought into the warming hype. 2 degrees of warming is a "tipping point"? Pulleez.
-
JBHow'd he come to his conclusions on human-caused global warming? He apparently hasn't considered: 1) no warming for last 18 years (except an El Nino spike); 2) all IPCC models overestimate (not underestimate) effects of CO2; 3) prehistoric levels of very high CO2 accompanied by Ice age. I could go on. He should catch up on his reading.
-
bpTruly excellent. I wish it was easier to find truly excellent videos on your website. I fluked this one. Thankfully.
-
RKI liked the interview in general. Very thought provoking and well reasoned as most of the other folks pointed out. I am surprised that he feels Wind & other renewables will beat Nuclear. I remember watching other talks by folks who bet only Nuclear has the scales to be a true competitor to Coal, Oil and Gas. Everything else requires too much landmass or technological advances.
-
HJOnly another person as smart as this man can really understand him and what to do about it. Sorry I'm just not smart enough to understand this. By the way what should I do with this damn bicycle?
-
CCAn intellectual force! Wow. So many concepts in one short interview. More like this please
-
LRGrant, great call, this was well worth watching. The parts on AI and platinum cubes worth the subscription alone. Plus no-one with a sense of humour can fail to enjoy the bicycle story
-
KBDon't peddle your investment in wind. It's solar. Green house effect physics is known for 100 years, Earth feedback loops not at all. For all we know we could be heading for Ice age. Otherwise the best RealTV interview. Brilliant.
-
BAI love this guy! He is seriously intelligent and bloody amusing, a rare combination.
-
RGI love how he pointed out the US took all of English gold in exchange for weapons...but then quotes Rothschild 10 minutes later...he seems best for sci fi
-
KDI have known many many HNWI's, and have never once heard any of them - even the most pretentious and arrogant - describe themselves with that term...
-
JGEvery watt of unreliable wind/solar requires base load additions which can only be provided carbon-free with nuclear. Once we solve the storage (battery) problem we can shut down the nukes.
-
nsAs someone who has worked in many a Nuclear Plant shutdown I can inform Stephen that the principal reason Nuclear plants shut down every 18 months is for refueling , maintenance is also carried out .
-
TDHe seems to be very sure of what he's claiming. Claims which of course "nobody out there gets"
-
EKA) The unofficial motto of Real Vision should henceforth be, "Always have your bicycle." B) Would love to read a science fiction novel authored by Stephen.
-
CBUnbelievable, the number of ideas presented in this piece is mind boggling
-
CMI am half way through and he's not come up for air once!
-
FTOver 50% of America is still on coal, declining, yet it will take eons to get away from it and the the internal combustion engine. No mention of our 5% of the population taking 24% of the energy?
-
ANTime well spent! Stephen for President!
-
JGNice recap on human ingenuity from ag to industry to info-tech. Nuclear waste has been stored for 40 yrs... No problemo! Even less of a problem is we cook it to 90% rather than the current 5%
-
DTYou know he must be brilliant - can't remember to button his collar. Genius indicator. No one else noticed?
-
MMInteresting!!
-
MAThis guy is smarter than sheldon cooper!
-
DMUnreal good!
-
CTWow! That was something. Very Very interesting and thought provoking
-
MCWould love to hear his thoughts on quantum computers - timelines, password issues, etc.
-
JDThanks Stephen for taking the time to share your views without any self promoting agenda.
-
wgFascinating, thought provoking, insightful and entertaining. Bring Stephen back soon for an encore!
-
RAHow steep is the hill to get up wind and how far do I have to go so I can determine how much Gold I can carry on my bike? I'm increasing my Planks and Push-ups.
-
DHWell, I love Stephen. Really enjoyed that. I know you have a lot more detail. I love the fact u have wide interests. Fascinating. Enthusiastic. I can tell you will not stop exploring and u care🌻
-
IZGreat thinker! Love how mathematicians are so logical and often libertarians. Unfortunately, the stupid politicians and corrupt governments have all the weapons and thus power so it won't end well.
-
LKVery thought provoking makes great points, but he could use AI to solve the nuclear waste problem and then we wouldn't have to worry about global warming!
-
BLHe should stick to what he knows. He doesnt know energy, clearly. Thorium power is the future, not wind. And global warming is not an issue. Like the AI stuff though!
-
TSHe didn't talk about his own cloud company, Forbidden Technologies. It's a really interesting company.
-
dbHow do you integrate manipulation and a dirty Fed BIS Banks and Deep Capture into AI?
-
KDWonderful thought provoking interview.
-
PHQ. How much of your gold will a bicycle cost you in a nuclear melt down? A. All of it.
-
JvWould have loved to hear his thoughts on Bitcoin.
-
LP"make sure you've got your bicycle." brilliant.
-
PH"Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes it's laws" Mayer Amschel Rothschild
-
BBGreat Think Piece. This was the sort of content I was thinking about when I told you guys that you should get more serious about technology.
-
SBWow. Best one I've seen so far! Bring him back!
-
ELCan't help but think, "If only the smart people like Stephen were running our governments." Brilliant think piece.
-
JvFascinating.
-
KOVery Negative on Nuclear though. China accounts for only 2% of the world's nuclear power and that's definitely changing. Russia and China are building plants for other countries as well.
-
KOTo quote independence day: "The sons of bitches did it!" Great work realvision on another fantastic video.
-
GTProof, if ever proof was needed that the smartest people on the planet are Brits with Maths expertise.
