@Raoul; The Australian Gov did a version of helicopter money in 2009 during the GFC, putting ~$1000 into each taxpayers bank account. What is the consensus view of the results of this? (apart from putting Australia back into debt)? Did it really "save Australia"? Hence how does this result affect the likelyhood of other countries doing it?

I never comment. Having said that, I have been investing internationally for 45 years and think he was one of the best interviews yet.

Best words of wisdom at 16:41..."now too dangerous to run a pure macro fund." Timing is everything in investing!!!

Anyone know what the 3 components of the investment cycle that he mentioned? I only got Govt Spending, Housing / Real Estate. Don't think he said the 3rd one. Cheers

How many very smart people are there in the world of finance and investment? Far more than I've thought possible and Raoul, Grant, etc. seem to find them all!

If dollar is strong, buy EM. If EM is strong, wait for dollar to be strong and buy EM. EM is more creditworthy than G7. Just look at the innovation and Nobel Prize winners from EM world. Don't miss the chance... Trust me, I worked 10 years for the Economist.
