Jim Rogers – Master Class

Featuring Jim Rogers

In Part Two of this extraordinary Master Class, Jim Rogers discusses how he created an investment framework from motorbiking across the world, why the current investment landscape in Asia may be more promising than it seems, where he is focusing his investments, and the knock-on consequences of central bank mechanisms to artificially stabilize the economy.

Jim is still a bull on China (Bloomberg yesterday). Yes in 20yrs it might be higher, but where are the opportunities now or next 5years?

Buying in a panic. “I close my eyes, look the other way, and hope it doesn't happen." Classic. Hilarious and true. Milton , you should use that vignette as a teaser.

Contrarian! I bet that military strength (The most important CAPEX and the one with the highest ROI) will always determine the next hegemon. Rather than creditor status as Jim suggests.

True Investing was never easy, today's momentum investing groupthink is just gambling. Asia w/assests will definitely come out on top than US with the world's greatest ever debt in history of world.

Crisis and Opportunity being opposite sides of the same coin is my best takeaway. Especially the part about having the guts to pursue the opportunity while ignoring the crisis panic. Epic!

This part is AWESOME! Looks to me like macro at its purest. There are no boundaries, no group think, no ego, just curiosity + eager to learn + common sense + comfortable with taking risk...
