The head-and-shoulders works (Rainmaker) its just a bit too close ... It becomes detrimental to the message. Regardless, there were some great points made.

To me , this video serves as a reminder that what we see - is not what we are told it it. Scarcity is not why prices are high or low - it is more complex then that and it is nice to be reminded.

I agree with the Orwellian presentation comment. However, watch it as John had some great thoughts. Its definitely worth to watch or at least listen to it!

Cliffs Notes: Commodities suck. Our Fed induced depression and their playing chicken with deflation to keep Gibson's paradox alive is more likely the culprit. This is someone embracing consensus.

His claim that wages buy more oil now than before is refuted in the chart about half way down this link (from Grantham's 3Q14 letter)- http://crudeoilpeak.info/oil-price-analysis

The head and shoulders presentation a bit off-putting… Orwellian even. I think I would have been more open to the content if the shot had been set-up differently.

@ 2:44 in regards to shale oil production not affecting price... You lost me. Look at the production charts. It is ALL about shale production growth.
