Jon - I/clients went long USD/CHF yesterday post Fed - our adjusted stops were triggered this AM for a profit. Re-evaluating longs on a pull-back here. I am encouraged though....

Tom - thanks for the question. I would rather chew tin foil that try to analyze and trade JPY. Plus, my track record trading JPY in the past would suggest you don't want my opinion/forecast!

Thanks Dave. Great as always. Wondering, do you have a view on JPY? Hard for me to see how it doesn't eventually weaken but I'm looking for a defensible place to get long USDJPY...

Dollar and gold can rally at the same time - not the correlation of recent memory but certainly no rules against it

If the Dollar does rally back to the 100 range, gold will not keep running which would be bearish for NGD especially since its up 300% this year. With that said I still enjoy the segment.

....I am not looking to micro-manage these trades at all. In fact, I believe these could be really big home runs in the months/years to come.

Hi Matthew - a double in NGD is not only still possible - it has already happened from the lows earlier this year. IMO the bull market in gold & gold minders is still in the early stages...

Hi Lilly - yes, that certainly could happen. Correlations are always in flux and a strong DXC; strong gold could well play out. Never discount anything....

Hi Dave, thx so much for insights. Could u comment on strong dollar v strong gold/gold miners? Can they both exist? Thx! Lilly

Dave, You spoke last of a double not being out of the question w $NGD. Are you somewhat less bullish? Love your insight. Thanks, Mat

....current pull-back off yesterday's highs unfolds in only 3 waves and turns back up that adds conviction that DXC is starting a sustained move lower.

Hi Timothy - thanks for the question. Today's 'low' is not really a low in the traditional sense and really has no technical relevance. What is key is the May 3rd low - if that holds and this....

Thanks for the update, Dave. The DXY hit a low of 93.72 today--is this still in line with your point about a temporary pullback? How low could this go before it's necessary to reconsider the thesis?
