The Expert View ·
Featuring Roham Gharegozlou

Published on: June 20th, 2019 • Duration: 16 minutes

As CEO of the blockchain technology company Dapper Labs, Roham Gharegozlou oversees CryptoKitties, the world’s most successful blockchain game. In this interview, Gharegozlou explains why he believes the blockchain will democratize how people create, distribute and consume value as much as the Internet has changed how we create, distribute and consume information. He also explains why gaming is a great vehicle for teaching people the benefits of blockchain. Filmed on June 14, 2019 in Vancouver.

i honestly dont get it any of this crypto. If it was scarce, why are there so many? Ask one of these people if they would be OK with keeping their savings in crypto. Doubtful. Its just another asset class used for speculation with lower valuations than traditional. Its only a matter of time. If i was in one of the hyperinflation countries, i would view crypto as my only option to save myself. Not as a store of value.

Here is an interesting paper from Eric Townsend of Macro Voices on the possible future of Blockchain, you should understand Blockchains limitations before you jump on the band wagon. https://www.macrovoices.com/macrovoices-content/list-research-roundup/1474-blockchain-debunked/file

I gave this video a thumbs up because I actually managed to watch the whole thing. I think I had a light bulb moment. Allow me to explain. An on-demand financial TV channel is allowing me to "make informed decisions based on unbiased advice" by showing me an expert view from Cryptokitties CEO on the same day that the USD gold price appears to be doing something important.

Real Vision SUCKS... Your content sucks, your audio downloads at a snails pace. You locked me into a six year subscription when your content was worth while, you have refused me a prorated refund and I am stuck with Real Visions business plan to provide content to the lowest common denominator. This is not a a criticism of the people providing the content, it is directed at the decision makers at RV who sold me Apples and now are giving me Bananas, I hate Bananas and it pisses me off every time I am exposed to one.

Check out Macro Voices, Meb Faber, The Jolly Swagmen, Investors Field Guide & Capitalist Exploits, these are just a few podcast that come to mind which are all free. Check them out and then tell me again with a straight face that at this moment RV is the best investment you have ever made.

Damian, we’ve talked about this in the past. At one point you were only getting apples, now you’re getting apples, oranges and bananas. Good thing our service is a digital one so nothing goes to waste. The same way Netflix literally offers you series from all genres, Real Vision offers you a broad selection of financial content. Having the expectation of watching everything and enjoying it 100% is not reasonable.
