I'm trying RV on a 7-day trial basis and I'm on Day 7. I'm based in Canada. After watching this guy, I've decided pony up for the long haul. +1 to Christopher calling for an RV's CDN take-away.

Please bring Gerard back for another segment. Very astute analysis. How did he ever survive at a sell side firm. The bankers must have hated him. My favorite kind of analyst.

This commentary is very good, also great for me in NZ (agriculture). Would love an update, also thoughts on Aussie gold miners going forward. Any differentiation btwn them and other hard commodities?

Add that Australian Govt does not hold balance of power in senate and is struggling with reforms which impacts budget. On housing, Neg Gearing means taxpayer pays the shortfall betw price and rent :-(

Negative gearing is the core stimulator of housing investment (unlike NZ) for real property in Australia. Chinese capital flight may see some capital inflows to Aussie residential housing.

Backing his statements up with the 'why', and with extreme clarity and brevity. From an economist. Astounding.

Intersting to note that the overwhelming majority of interviewees are sanguine if not bearish. Im curious as to what the bull narrative is... as the marginal decrease in that is the potential trigger

Good to hear an Aussie perspective about the situation there, particularly how the slowdown in China could prick the housing bubble. Good information too about why: over-leveraged BTL landlords.
