Publishing a trade idea late is a bad service. Anyway cloud topic is soooo old.

There is no such thing as "the cloud". There is only your data sitting on computers in someone else's datacenter and some hefty telecom costs to incur in getting there. Within three years, the same clowns that have been peddling "the cloud" as the best thing since sliced bread will be peddling cost savings by bringing data back to customer owned equipment. Everyone pays the same amount - more or less - for the computers, but telecom isn't free and AMZN/MSFT have elephantine profit margins from selling time on their computers. VMware would be a bigger win if my scenario plays out because AMZN and MSFT are not big VMware shops. MSFT has their own called hypervisor call HyperV and I suspect AMZN is a KVM user. If Dan is right about the IT lemmings continuing to embrace "the cloud", that doesn't bode well for VMware.
