Japan: The Widow-Maker No More?

Japan has been quietly enjoying a bit of a renaissance. The last time this happened (the Three Arrows/Abenomics hype of 2013-15), international capital flooded to Japan. That capital subsequently retreated. This time, modest overweights have already unwound despite stocks making new multi-decade highs. Sure, Japan has been a value trap. Is it different this time?
