Real Vision’s Festival of Learning – “How I Learn” Giveaway Terms & Conditions

1. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO WIN OR TO ENTER FOR A CHANCE TO WIN.
2. Eligibility: Open to both Real Vision members and non-members. Employees of Real Vision, their family members, and direct vendors of Real Vision are prohibited from entering.
3. How to Enter: Entrants must submit a video response (the “Entry”) through this link and answer the 5 questions below about “How I Learn”. Entrants may only submit one (1) Entry. Winners will be chosen based on their answers the 5 questions below:
a) What’s your favorite method for taking notes and why?
b) Which 3 people would you combine into one valuable source of inspiring insights?
c) What do you always make sure you read – whether it’s a news source, someone’s Twitter feed, back of a cereal box, etc…?
d) What personal qualities make you the kind of investor you are, and why?
e) What’s your craziest work-related experience you’ve never talked about in public before?
4. Entry Period: Entry submission period begins on June 4 2021, 00:00 ET and ends on June 9 2021, 23:59 ET. Entries received before or after the entry period are void.
5. Selection Period: Begins on June 10 2021, 00:00 ET and ends on June 18 2021, 23:59 ET. Winners will be selected by Real Vision in its sole discretion.
6. All winners will be notified by email on June 21 2021. Winners’ entries may be used for event promotional purposes or video segments at Real Vision’s Festival of Learning.
7. Giveaways:
a) Real Vision Shop Merchandise: Real Vision may seek sizing details, address for delivery etc. All merchandise shall be sent over post or courier.
b) Free Passes to the Festival of Learning 2021: Free passes will be subject to additional terms, conditions and restrictions attached to the virtual event. No further transfer or sale of the passes will be allowed.
c) Free Essential membership: For non-members Winners, Real Vision’s representative will activate the Essential membership tier for the winners after the winners have been verified. Winners shall be responsible for all computer and/or mobile equipment and connectivity to access the membership. The membership will be for twelve (12) months.
d) Membership upgrades/ free months: Any membership upgrades/ free month giveaways will be made effective from the following month:
· For Essential/ Plus tier members – upgrade to next level of membership shall be for twelve (12) months.
· For Pro tier members – three (3) extra months will be added to their existing membership period.
· For Blacklist members – gift one (1) Essential membership to a friend or family member.
Number of giveaways in each category will be at the discretion of Real Vision. Real Vision reserves the right to substitute a different giveaway of approximately equivalent value in its sole discretion.
8. Intellectual Property: By submitting the Entry Entrant certifies that they are the exclusive rights holder of the Entry. Where necessary, Entrant has acquired all necessary permissions for use or reuse of any part of the Entry. Entrant shall indemnify and hold harmless Real Vision for any infringement or other action caused by Entry. Entrant agrees to and acknowledges the completion of the Video Release. Real Vision shall not gain any ownership interest in the Entry. Entrant grants Real Vision an irrevocable, perpetual, world-wide, royalty free license to use, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, commercialize, advertise, sublicense and distribute the Entry in all media whether now known or here in after created. No entries will be returned.
9. Notification: Winners will be contacted by e-mail for the dissemination of the giveaways. If an email is returned as undeliverable or a winner cannot be reached, is ineligible, or declines his or her giveaway, Real Vision shall in its sole discretion either award to the next eligible winner or cancel that giveaway prize. Participants are responsible for keeping contact information up to date. Real Vision is not responsible for any member change of email address or other contact information. As a condition of accepting a giveaway, Winner must respond to Real Vision’s notification of winning within three (3) business days from the time of notification. Any unclaimed and/or unused portion of the giveaway will be forfeited and will not be substituted, nor will there be any refund for any unclaimed and/or unused portion of the giveaway. The giveaway prizes may not be redeemed for cash and are not assignable or transferable.
10. Requirements of Giveaway : A Giveaway Prize Wwinner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release, wherever lawful, as a precondition to award of thegiveaway. If a giveawayfails to sign and return the requested documents to Real Vision, that giveawayWinner may be disqualified, and the giveawaywill thereafter be awarded to an alternate, randomly-selected giveaway Winner from the remaining valid entries using the procedure specified above. Entrants are subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
11. Privacy: Any personal information collected will be subject to the Real Vision’s privacy policy available at https://www.realvision.com/privacy. Each participant agrees that Real Vision has the right to contact participant by email. Unless prohibited by law, acceptance of a giveaway constitutes permission for Real Vision and its designees to use a Winner’s name, voice, image, likeness, photographs, statements, biographical information and any other personal characteristics, in any and all media now or hereafter known, for any purpose, including without limitation for marketing, promotional and/or publicity purposes, without additional compensation to the winner.
12. Tax: All winners shall be solely responsible for all (a) federal, state and/or local taxes, and (b) other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of any giveaways. Giveaways are awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
13. Cancellation: Real Vision may, in its sole and absolute discretion, cancel, change, suspend, or modify any aspect of the Giveaways, or the entire giveaways altogether, at any time, including. Real Vision shall be the sole determiner in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, or breach of these terms and conditions or intent of these terms and conditions. The laws of the state of New York shall govern these Terms and Conditions. Member hereby expressly consents to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the courts located in New York, New York, for all matters arising in connection with these terms and conditions or the member’s participation in the event.
14. No Liability: Unless prohibited by law, by participating all participants agree that Real Vision, and its parents, subsidiaries and affiliates and its officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents shall not be responsible or liable for, and are hereby released from, any and all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, without limitation, death and bodily injury, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to participation in the live event or from participants’ acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prizes or giveaways. Some jurisdictions do not allow such releases or indemnity, so the above may not apply to you. Real Vision assumes no responsibility for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human or technical in nature, or for damaged, lost, late, illegible or misdirected entries; technical, hardware, software, electronic or telephone failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; fraudulent, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions whether caused by Real Vision, the users, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this giveaway or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions or downloading, that may limit, delay or prevent an entrant’s ability to participate in the giveaway.
