Wait, so how can you say Julian initiated a trade recommendation on all these precious metals plays mid November, yet there was no announcement or anything about that recommendation? What good is this service if you get the trade rec Dec 2 for something that is recommended mid November? Did I miss something?

How Julian set up the trades recommendations has a good view of what he expects in the near future! How he will enter the trades in portions. Need to spend time to digest the focus report to get a sense of the trades. These precious metal trades maybe the repeat of the silver trade back in 2020! He was right on then!

Phew, you had me worried. The gold trade has worked out. Worth listening to the NBT podcast with Peter Brandt cos he goes through the long term bull case very thoroughly. Kept me listening with my mouth shut, which is no mean feat.

Thanks for this, it's great to see how people handle being under water, it's easy to think you're alone when it happens :) Another lesson I've learned is that waiting before deploying cash can pay out big at sale time, but it's very hard to do. A house sale falling through (thanks to Liz Truss's "mini-budget") means I can now buy the Exponential basket, and specially things like Meta and Galaxy, at a hefty discount and feel very clever even if it is, in fact, down to sheer dumb luck.

No substitute for luck. But the more work I do, the luckier I get!

We publish stops for the trades, but how can it be wrong to pull your stops up with trailing stops? I think its a good idea when trades move deep in.

A question about Juliens silver trade. I put the trade on the same day as it was posted 15 nov, while 18 nov he says on this podcast ( https://youtu.be/caVCbBTzN1U?t=1324 ) that he wouldnt own precious metals right now as he expects the stock market to fall. Should I interpret this simply as him not wanting to share his trades "outside the paywall" (and also maybe not wanting to give trade tips without also giving stops, targets and updates)?

Well, if your broker wont support Indian stocks, then you can buy either the ADR or the GDR. The ADR ticker seems to be RLNIY US

Hi Raoul Hi Julian Reviewing your performance as a long standing (5 year) MI member and have to say its shockingly bad. Is it possible you can give us a more detailed, line by line breakdown - as you would if I were an institutional investor into your portfolios? Sorry but on the brink of de-subscription. Maybe I’ve got things badly wrong? Please help Alexander C Kay London, SE3, UK

So I had a quick look at the MI2 numbers. They look like this. However, they may be sensitive to implementation and "slippage". positive 13 negative 13 avg pos 64% avg neg -15% avg 23.44% median 0% weighted avg 26.8%

I will try and see if someone can provide that breakdown. I have only looked at MI2 performance numbers and I thought they were decent.

Are the stops based on intraday prices or closing prices?

The stops are suggested. The precise placing of stops is very personal, and has to reflect ones reading of the chart. That includes whether you treat them as closing or intraday. But (I think) for PnL calculation purposes we are using closing.
