A wonderful interview, and particularly encouraging to hear from someone who is channeling his talents and millions (billions?) into moving an essential technology forward. Inspiring.

Was a good one, now going to do some research on the energy sector :) @RV staff - it would be awesome if you can curate some of the classics (say RV picks) from your archives - I am recent addition to your platform (pro account), and consuming a lot of your archives - but if there is a curated list, would be awesome

Arthur J. Samberg (February 6, 1941 – July 14, 2020) was an American businessman. He founded Pequot Capital Management and served as the chief executive officer, president and chairman of the company.[1] Samberg's flagship Pequot fund, started in 1986, returned 17.8% (net) over the life of the fund. After the fund closed, he managed his family office through Hawkes Financial LLC.

The great question in high finance: are you good or lucky? Many players were in the right place at the right time, and now we call them legends...

I think its a bit harsh to give Matthew the thumbs down on his comments. If you read enough history its becomes obvious that timing is almost everything. To make the right decision in the right moment brings fame. Many have come up with the right decision but in the wrong timeframe and are never heard of again. Nonetheless I do believe in luck.......

Time and circumstance are important, but they're not everything. It's when motivation, knowledge and preparation meet with the right time and circumstance that great things are accomplished. Art's years of bone grinding study met with the time and circumstance of the Internet and computer rollout. My personal situation was similar. It's a shame Art passed away. I wish he could have lived to see TAE succeed or fail.

I knew Art Samberg, starting in his days with Dawson-Samberg. In addition to being a superb investor, Art was a real gentleman and pleasure to work with. He will be missed.
