Brilliant interviewees #1 and #3, especially #3. Haven't checked but both would be great long i/vees. There seems to be a lot of Democrat/Leftie bias in Real Vision interviewERS. :(

Where does Jawad stand on "there is no dollar shortage"? as the first interviewee maintained. I refer to Jeffrey Snider's presentations that eurodollar decay and global restriction of credit; ergo, dollar shortage.

The travel log is an interesting format, But what I enjoyed the most was the interview with the CEO of ERGO. I would love to see him and Grant or Raul do a one on one with him

RE. CM. Thank you for giving your reasons for a thumbs down. Most subscribers will not. My family arrived around the same time that your family arrived. We have always been ruled by different elite groups whether religious/political/economic. DJT comes from the economic elite. His populist win partially reflects the hope that he will help the middle class by being its robber baron. Time will tell. Until then I want to hear dialog from anyone in the world - friend or foe - who can shed some light on possible problems and solutions. DLS

EL, I am one of the 18 negatives. This video may be fine for people outside the U.S., but it's ridiculous to receive a lecture about America as someone whose family has been here since 1704. People who can't understand DJT are not being intellectually honest with themselves about reality and/or are suffering from cognitive dissonance because they can't fathom the reality of how badly the elites in the U.S. have eviscerated the middle class.

RVTV raises the bar even higher. This makes Fox,CNN, CNBC,Bloomberg look like Crap. Which most of it is. Jawad has done a remarkable job and is a Credit to Grant Etal. Thank you for giving me my money

Wow, after watching this segment a second time I come away even more amazed. Such great insight by all 3 guests and some really fascinating yet unexpected takes on the new situation in America and how it's viewed by the outside world. I can't wait for the further more in depth interviews with Blum and Eddy (why not Chen too, he was great!). Many, many thanks RVTV and Jawad!!!

One word: epic! I would love to work for Jawad. His bull case in Feb 2016 convinced me to go long US stocks, since then up 65% on a value momentum small cap portfolio. I absolutly agree, a lot of people (especially the gold bugs) cursed the fed and have been ideologic instead of simply riding the wave. Now almost everybody curses Trump instead of still riding the wave (beeing long stocks, especially micro and small caps). Sure, you need to watch it, but every bull market needs to be watched closely. I even want to (as an optimist) believe, that Trump could work fine (or at leas better the majority thinks) for Pax USA and therefore for the US and the rest of the world. Good thing that China respects Trump, good thing he wants to strengthen NATO (just came out today: if everybody pays what they agreed on!), good thing he wants to put more money in the hands of lower middle class and middle class. I hope things work out...

Excellent presentation and format by Jawad. I look forward to more of this series. Really enjoyed the insights of all three guests, however R.P. Eddy's insights were really refreshing. I think if you take a topic and boil it down, what you have left is the essence that we got from R.P. Eddy. Thanks.

Just can't buy this rosy outlook of the economy right now due to Trump. I agree that DT can affect the economy with lower tax rates and reduced regulation but it takes congressional approval & time. We have massive debt & massive money printing throughout the world. The money is printed by central banks & given to banks and their crony slime-ball friends. The taxpayers are on the hook with this liability. I wish the bullish forecasters would've given some time frame for their bullish thesis. This is the only way to measure their performance.

Re: US Dollar shortage (or Mr Blum's theory there isn't such a thing), perhaps he should read Dr Malmgren's new piece on RV Pubs (a short clip below): "Now, as many economies are suffering unexpected slowdown, with weakening exports and a rising dollar they find they are caught in a trap of shortage of dollars for servicing debt and daily bank liquidity needs. Shortage of dollars appears to be growing in Europe as well, as evidenced by sharp increases in overnight lending rates, or LIBOR. Global dollar shortage has impacted China at the same time that capital flight has been exploding . China has had to sell large amounts of US Treasuries in order to provide cash dollars to many banks and state owned enterprises in danger of illiquidity." The whole piece goes into much more depth regarding the $ shortage and should definitely be read by all.

@ John H... you took the words right out of my mouth. There is an endemic shortage of dollars globally and cross currency basis swaps illustrate this perfectly. Spreads have widened drastically since mid-2014 across almost all currencies against the USD. That is proof of the "hedging" that Mr. Blum says hasn't happened... i.e., everyone short dollars IS scrambling to swap into them. Steady CNY depreciation is another trend that strongly suggests a shortage of dollars. RV, please bring back Jeff Snider or Paul Mylchreest to explain how the dollar short cannot be fully understood by simply looking at the USDJPY or EURUSD spot rate. In the context of Trumpflation, such interviews would be very topical.

Great series so far Jawad. I really liked the MENA piece, precisely because of how well it documented much of the IT backwardness, and thus opportunities there. NYC so far (I am halfway through) is also great. I'd never heard of the two first guys before, but it's great to get these 'out of the box" views. One suggestion: if you are going to take the trouble and spend the money to travel all over the world to visit and film these guys, instead of using Skype, show us a bit of what they live like. Take the camera up to the buildings they are in, and walk us in the front door. Just a 15 second shot would do. Watch how Trump does it in his first weekly address to the nation (Fast forward to 3:53 seconds into the video). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yj2dDJkYSnE The camera walks us right into the Trump White House, so we feel like we are there. If you did the same with the NYU professor and the analyst, we'd get a better feel for who these guys are. Show us the bookshelves on their office walls, or whatever. Keep up the great work.

Wow. Amazing trio of interviews, some great independent thinkers. Would love to hear from them all in a rewind. EXCELLENT interview skills from Jawad, pausing to summarize and guide the conversations deeper. Interesting to see more optimism from the interviews, helps me check my hubris at the door as I consider differing thoughts.

Jawad - just AWESOME!!! I love these travel-the-world series you are doing, very informative and very interesting. The Chinese guest was particularly enlightening! And R.P. Eddy was very informative too (altho I believe Europe choses IMF leader (U.S. choses World Bank leader)). Thank you very much for doing these!
