Canada really is the pits these days - the absolute worst joke of a Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau and now the centre of marijuana culture. What a nation of lefty losers.

As stated by another, maybe check into some 'deep' empirical science findings. And yes, please do add a pay loans counter in your sophisticated misnamed cafes, a beautiful pairing.

That was such a cool interview. Some prophetic views, yet so similar to how prohibition evolved in the US and the opportunities that were presented. More alternative content like this please!

they probably will start a futures exchange soon! In any case I believe once all is legal, you can so easily grow a couple of plants yourself.(as we do in The Netherlands, 5 plants per household is allowed) Making oil is no big deal either, producing tea and coffee for personal consumption is different story. A quick search on you tube will show you in a heartbeat how to grow your own. Happy Smokes everybody

I enjoyed this "change of pace" presentation from RVTV! I have been following GWPH as a "swing trading vehicle" for awhile but had not given much thought to the future of the cannabis industry and how it might evolve. Everything he said sounds about right. It will be interesting to see how this industry grows. Also it's about time cannabis was removed from the category 1 level of bad drugs (really, the gov't thinks pot is as bad as heroin???).

Liked the branding concepts and the matching of business models in history. People have numbed out since the beginning of time. In the bust of 1929 people turned to alcohol with AA starting a few years later. Seems to be a premium brand and there is something to lear from wine. When times are tight the volume stays consistent but the average spend drops significantly. Good luck!

The brand name does seem a strange choice - I was going to make similar comments. But it meets the prime brand needs of being easily remembered and hard to mis-spell/pronounce. Who would have predicted 'The Gap' being a leading clothing brand based on the name? Brands define their meaning and it probably fits the current mass perception well enough. Equally, think mist on mount Fuji, not salaryman and tobacco...

You won't have a $100B market with existing user base. That needs to be said. Since edibles are the future and modern way to innovate this market, a company with the name Tokyo Smoke is poorly chosen for branding.

Really enjoyed the visionary outlook on the future business of Marijuana.
Excellent realistic comparisons to the existing coffee/tea, coca cola, and alcohol industries with understandable brand identification examples.
If you live in other parts of the world where Marijuana has already broken in roads or been around for a while (Colorado, Washington state, Toronto, Amsterdam, etc), a lot of what is being said seems quite obvious.
I totally agree that this will be one of the few times where there exists an opportunity to introduce a 'parallel' product where the infrastructure and distribution mechanisms are already well defined.
I just hope he is not too far ahead of his time.

This is batter than a primer on the future of Marijuana. I am glad he is bringing it to the masses. Anyone doing the same with ayahuasca ? I think there is room for this market. People are traveling all the way to Peru for this brew. If anyone opens a Cafe Ayahuasca, it will be an instant hit.

A lot of contemplation on the meaning of life to end up a drug dealer. Unfortunately, to the detriment of society, this business will likely be successful. Might want to spend some time studying the scientific findings on the harmful effects of this "harmless" drug. Lot of money to be made in pay-day loans too. Might consider cross-selling opportunities.

Baldwin, Siegl, and Bowker imagined a similar upgrading of the cup of coffee from Maud at the local diner when they started Starbucks in Seattle's Pike Street Market.
