Why are you talking about something "you don't understand"?!? Why are you making such silly predictions on gold (500$) since you don't understand it and just said you can't value it and CAN'T PREDICT?

U.S. velocity of money peaked in 1997 when gold was at 300$. There's no correlation with gold price. Gold doesn't pay interest, so what?!?!? Money at the bank doesn't pay you nothing.

Really nice interview. I work managing clients in Spain and sometimes the clients don't want us to have the reason, they want us to achieve goals and be correct. They only focus in the YTD returns...

I wonder how he is positioned pending the Swiss Gold Initiative? My guess is that he would wait for a yes vote before adding a long position, then exit the bet after a short term gain.

Good in that it offers counterpoints to other interviews. Just as RV provides an alternative to the mainstream echo chamber it's important that RV doesn't become an anti-mainstream echo chamber.

Pragmatic, as long as the mother of fat tails sleeps. Evolving past the last 100k years is great.. so long as something from the last 100k years in human nature doesn't wake to find you defenseless.

I suspected, based his comments about gold' that this piece would get some "thumbs down" but I found it extremely confrontational which is exactly what I am looking for here at Real Vision.

Great to have an alternate view from within the industry, putting forward a different view to a lot of the interviews we have seen here before. Enjoyed it!
